Monday through Friday
8:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. & 2:00 P.M. to 5:00P.M.
Health & Family Services Office Hours:
By appointment Monday through Friday - Call 620-231-5411
8:00 A.M. to 1:00P.M. & 2:00P.M. to 5:00 P.M.
Do I need an appointment?
No appointment needed for immunizations, TB skin tests, pregnancy tests, blood pressure check, lead test or hemoglobin test. Please call for Covid or Flu tests. Clients are asked to wait outside in their vehicle for Covid and Flu tests. Appointments are needed for the Kan Be Healthy wellness screenings and can be made by calling (620) 231-5411.
Do I have to pay for services at the Health Department?
The Health Department does charge for most services, screenings and immunizations. Most services are billed through your health insurance. There are also programs available to provide services for those without health insurance. Payment for Health & Family Services is based upon family size and income, however no one is denied service based on inability to pay.
How do I demonstrate income?
Proof of income can be demonstrated by providing a paycheck stub, income tax return, letter from SRS, documentation of alimony or child support, a medical card, or signed letter from an employer.
Do you provide interpreting or translation services?
Yes. If an interpreter or translator is not avaiable an online or translation service is utilized.
How can I apply for state-assisted health insurance?
Presumptive Eligibility available through the health department.
