​Here is a list of things you need to know before making a trip to our office.

1. The Girard office is open to the public from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.  The Satellite office located inside the Judicial Center in Pittsburg is open 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
2. There will be drop boxes available inside the court house if you do not need to wait. If dropping a payment off make sure to include a way for us to contact you if we have any questions.
3. VIN Inspections are open at the Sheriff’s Department from 8:00 A.M. to 3:45 P.M. from Monday - Thursday and 8:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Friday. Please make sure to have your title, driver’s license and $20.00 cash or check when you arrive and follow the signs. Service and Responsibilities:

• The Treasurer's Office collects property tax on real estate, business, and other personal property, and distributes those taxes to the state and all other taxing units in the county (cities, schools districts, townships, etc.) for their use.
• The Motor Vehicle Department is an agent for the State of Kansas for registering and titling motor vehicles and IRP's
• The County Treasurer operates as "County Banker" for all county funds
• The Treasurer's Office is a satellite location for renewing Kansas Drivers Licenses
