The position includes representing the County before the Courts in civil matters, conducting tax sales, prosecuting eminent domain actions, advising the Planning Commission on zoning and land use matters, pursuing nuisances and dilapidated structures, preparing resolutions for the Board of County Commissioners, advising on road vacations, land annexations, etc. The County Counselor does not provide legal advice or legal services to the general public.
