All regular out of state titles for used vehicles and Kansas Non-Highway titles require inspection.  The fee is $10.00, cash preferred.  All Salvage titles require inspection.  The fee is $15.00.  Effective July 1, 2011 inspection fees for all out-of-state titles for used vehicles and Kansas non-highway vehicles will be $15.00 (cash preferred).  Inspection fee for salvage vehicles will be $20.00 (cash preferred).

The Inspection location and hours are: 
 

          Inspection for SALVAGE and NON-HIGHWAY are performed at the Girard Police Department on Wednesdays from 12:00 NOON to 2:00 PM only.

          Inspection for regular out of state titles (not salvage or non-highway) are performed at the Crawford County Courthouse – Vehicle Inspection Office at the east end of the 1^st floor from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday thru Friday.

Who needs an inspection?

          --Vehicles with out-of-state titles

          --Salvage titled vehicles being put back to highway status

          --Kansas non-highway title vehicles being put back to highway status
